Candy & Dennis | St. Catherine’s Church Seattle WA | July 26 2008

I’ve known the bride Candy since high school, since she is one of my best friend’s little sister – therefore almost like my own little sister. It had been almost two years since I last saw her and I was honored that she and her hubby Dennis hired me to shoot her wedding, flying me in from California. The wedding was a sweet intimate affair and I truly felt like family. Congratulations, Candy & Dennis! Here are my  favorites from the day

Additional photography by Seattle locale Aric Becker. Twas great working with you, Aric!

This is one of Dennis’ original paintings, hanging in their apartment.

And finally, your quintessential “Wish You Were Here in Seattle” postcard portrait….

July 20, 2008 |  Oakland Metropolitan Golf Links

On a fairly windy & cloudy day, I was honored to cover the events unfold as Ceasar and Maureen tied the knot at the Wedgewood Banquet Center at the Metropolitan Golf Links. This was the type of wedding that made me love my job.  The entire day was so full of love and laughter, from the preparations to the reception – it was smiles and jokes abound. Everyone had a grand ol’ time. Have fun in Bermuda!

April the Aspiring Model July 19, 2008

Aspiring model April came to my home-studio with a big grin on her face, ready and raring to face the camera. And boy did this two year old toddler give me a work-out! We ran from end to end of the garden and in-and-out of the house at top speed. Fortunately, she rewarded me with some great smiles worthy of any magazine cover. Good luck on your modelling career, April!

2 Kids and an iPhone July 17, 2008

I’m always amazed at how intuitive kids are these days with all things hi-tech. Here are siblings 3 year old Ella and almost 7 year old Julz with the new favorite toy, the 3G iPhone. Since I have been shooting these kids since they were in diapers, they pretty much treated me like furniture. And getting them to look up at the camera could sometimes be challenging. But somehow, I find the undirected behind-the-scene photos pretty funny as well. Here are some of my favorite outtakes.

And finally…one photo of Ella without the iPhone. Notice how her smile is not as wide. She’s thinking, “I want my Super Ball Monkey!”

First Congregational Church, Palo Alto & Mings July 13, 2008

Here’s the last of my June weddings. This time around, I helped out my good friend and colleague Kinsley Wong with the wedding coverage of Elaine and Datsun on a crisp summer June afternoon. The wedding ceremony was beautiful and serene but the fun broke out full-blast the reception at Ming’s Restaurant in Palo Alto. Everyone enjoyed the 10-course grand lauriat dinner (yum!). Here are some of my favorite captured moments from the day.

Redeemer Lutheran Church & Holbrook Palmer Park July 3, 2008

Yet another wonderful wedding I had the pleasure of covering with Claudia Akers Photography. The Holbrook Palmer Park in in Atherton provided the perfect backdrop to their special day. Mark and Gayle were so laid back and relaxed at their wedding, it hardly felt like work at all! Here are some of my favorite shots from the wedding.
